Every Belada piece is made by hand using carefully selected materials. With a little care, it should continue to look good and serve you for many years.
Wooden boards and serving pieces
Clean with warm water, a small amount of mild washing-up liquid and a soft cloth or sponge.
Do not place wooden products in a dishwasher or leave them soaking in water.
Dry thoroughly after cleaning and allow both sides to receive airflow.
Avoid placing extremely hot cookware directly onto the wood.
Maintaining the finish
Over time, the surface may begin to look dry or lighter in colour. Apply a thin coat of Belada board conditioner using a clean, lint-free cloth.
Allow it to absorb before buffing away any excess.
Reapply whenever the wood begins to look or feel dry.
Furniture
Dust regularly using a clean, soft cloth.
Wipe spills promptly and avoid harsh cleaning products, abrasive pads and furniture sprays containing silicone.
Use coasters beneath drinks and take care with hot, wet or sharp objects.
Natural timber may gradually change colour when exposed to sunlight. This is part of the material’s character.
Forged and finished steel
Wipe with a clean, dry cloth.
Avoid abrasive cleaners and prolonged contact with moisture. If the surface becomes wet, dry it promptly.
Small variations in texture and finish are natural characteristics of individually worked steel.
